So far Istanbul has been really fun even though we have just been doing lots of hanging out and walking around. We have been really really tired after all of that flying, so we have spent tons of time at night and in the morning sleeeeeeeping! It's already noon and we just got up so I will have to write more later so we can get going and do more fun stuff!
Jordan and I are at the airport waiting to get on the plane to take our trip to Unkle Gregg in Turkey! We were supposed to take to planes to get there but one of them was canceled so now we have to take three. I think there is bad weather in New York that made this happen. I am very very excited but I am also very very tired and will probably sleep the whole time on the first plane which is okay because it will be dark and I won't be able to see much out of the window anyway. If I do not write from New York, that means the next time I write we will be in Turkey which will be my second time in a new country and my first time in both Europe and Asia which is so weird and cool at the same time! Okay time to go! I'll write again soon!
I am so sorry that I have not been writing in my blog since Jordan and I moved to Portland! Jordan has been very busy with working and finding work and this very tall boy he really likes that I have not had time to sit down with Jordan and write! Since we moved we have done some fun things and gone to some cool places like DC and North Carolina for a wedding, Canada twice!--Vancouver where they speak english and Montreal where they speak english and french! Jordan sed Montreal is like Europe-lite. We also went back to see Jordan's family for christmas which was fun because I got to see the kitties again.
Anyways I wanted to write because next week Jordan is taking me with him to my first foreign country besides Canada when he goes to Turkey to visit Unkle Gregg in Istanbul which is very far away! We have to take a plane to New York which I miss and I think Jordan misses too and then a loooooooong plane from New York to Turkey. Jordan sez we will do lots and lots of reading and watching movies on his computer on the plane, and hopefully take lots of naps to pass the time. That will be fun. In Turkey we are going to do a lot of hanging out with Unkle Gregg because Jordan does not have a ton of money, but we will also get to see some of the famous things like palaces and churches and mosques. I hope to remember to take time to update my blog at least while we are in Turkey so that you can read all about it!
Jordan and I are moving to Portland in a couple of months!!!
Jordan and I are watching television and eating cookies and ice cream!
I hope everyone is as happy as I am right now!
Today I get to cuddle with Jordan while he reads a play by Shakespeare for his class called Pericles. It is about this guy who travels a lot and gets in a ship crash a few times and thinks he lost his wife and daughter but gets them back at the end. It is kind of confusing to me and I do not really understand alot of the words they use but that does not matter. This weekend we will do more hanging out and reading but we will also go out sometimes with other people and have other kinds of fun like going to the movies!
Jordan has been playing this game where you are a boy who is doing stuff and fighting things in people's brains which does not make a whole ot of sense but anyway there was this part where he had to fight four creatures and after he beat each one he does a little dance. Not Jordan, the boy in the video game. And he sings a little song with no real words. I like to do that dance because it is silly.
Okay I am going to go back to helping Jordan read haha!
I am so very very sorry that I have not posted in over a month!
Well, I had a great time in Portland with Jordan and Unkle Mike last month. Unkle Mike lives in a new place that is awesome! It has a fireplace with real fire and fake wood for heat! It was so much fun to watch tv and sleep on his big comfy couch with the fire going.
In Portland we saw some movies and I went to a play with Jordan with two other boys and we did a lot of hanging out and drinking coffee and reading. I am not allowed to have coffee because the caffeen in it makes me a little crazy and I bounce up and down and up and down everywhere! The weather was kind of cold but it was like summer compared to the past few days in New York. Jordan has been going to class without me because it is so cold out! It is nice to cuddle up on his bed while he is at school but it does get kind of lonely.
The weekend before last we went down to DC so Jordan could see some plays and help people protest the war that is going on right now. I think war is scary and bad. I wish people did not get so mad all the time that they have to blow things up. Everything is so confusing and I do not like politicks that much but Jordan does sometimes so I know a little about what is going on I guess. I try not to think about it too much because it makes me sad but I know I cannot pretend that the world is always good and perfect. Good thing I have a boy to take care of me!
While we were in Omaha we went to a zoo. It was very fun to see all of the animals, speshally the monkeys! Jordan gets sad at zoos because the wild animals do not get to play in their natural home with lots of space but he sez that zoos are also good because they help different kinds of animals not be extinct. So maybe the animals do not have lots of space but if they are being taken care of as best as they can in order to help them get back into the wild and be happy there then it is okay I guess. It is of confusing to me. I just like looking at the cute animals.
Tonight Jordan gave me a bath so I can be all nice and clean when we go to visit Unkle Mike in Portland tomorrow. He said that sometimes monkeys get a little smelly but that is okay. He used a wet sponge to clean my fur and was real gentle, then he had me sit in front of a fan so I could dry off quickly. Now I am all ready to go! I just hope I can get enough sleep tonight because I am very excited!
you are one lucky monkey. My domokun doesn't get to travel as much as you, but he's been to hawaii twice! read more
